NiX Brand guidelines - 2023

Before the launch of NiX by Nicola Harding, I had the privilege of working closely with the exceptional team at Magpie Studio and the NiX founders, Andy Harding (Managing Director) and Nicola Harding (Creative Director of Nicola Harding & Co and NiX). Together, we shaped a brand identity that seamlessly connects the ethos of Nicola Harding & Co with the vision of NiX.

Magpie Studio delivered a beautifully cohesive brand strategy, identity, tone of voice, packaging, motion, and print collateral, all rooted in the strategic essence of NiX: a deep understanding of how people live and what transforms a house into a home. The timeless homeware collection is designed for real life; crafted with care, effortlessly elegant, and made to last. From this heartfelt sentiment, the brand essence of NiX was distilled: Beautifully Useful.

The visual identity brings Beautifully Useful to life through refined stencilled typography and the distinctive diamond-shaped ‘rivet’. A mark of quality that appears across every detail, from buttons and zips to labels. The palette, inspired by Nicola’s signature colours, reflects her timeless aesthetic while imbuing each piece with an understated elegance. Every element of the identity, from print to packaging, reinforces the brand’s ethos and elevates NiX as a hallmark of craftsmanship and enduring style.

I then took this brand identity and helped roll it out across, ecommerce, social platforms and physically across printed collateral and product branding.
